What Got You Started?

Sometimes we just have to go back to basics.

I invite you this week to remember why you started your business. Reach back to the moment that it came to be, and what drove you to commit to it. Understand your impetus for setting it up and bring that present.

Whether you began years ago, or just months, it’s vital that you honour that moment – and regularly. Here’s why. There’s more at stake than just the joy of recognition of what brings you joy.

  • Regularly recalling the pleasure you get from doing what you do best allows you to deliver at your best more of the time.
  • Celebrating the parts of work that bring you the most satisfaction creates the desire to create more.
  • Honouring the dedication you bring to your craft, the hours spent behind the scenes, gives you the energy to continue, even when things don’t feel like they are going as well as you might like them to be.

Make sure you spend some time at least monthly, if not weekly, tapping into the purpose behind the effort. It will connect you to more energy, determination and most of all joy.
